Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern the use of the Tadoro web application (tadoro.com), operated by Felix Hansen, Eichendorffstr. 4, 50858 Köln, Germany. By registering for and using Tadoro, you agree to these terms.
Tadoro is intended for adult users. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity.
1a. Consumers, Businesses, and Provision via an Employer
These Terms govern the contractual relationship between Tadoro and the person using Tadoro. A consumer is anyone using Tadoro for purposes predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession (§ 13 German Civil Code). A business is anyone acting in the exercise of their trade, business, or profession (§ 14 German Civil Code).
The consumer-protection provisions of these Terms – in particular the statutory right of withdrawal (§ 8) and the voluntary money-back guarantee (§ 9) – apply to consumers who conclude paid access directly themselves.
If Tadoro is provided to you by your employer as an employee benefit, the commercial conditions (license, term, remuneration) are governed by a separate agreement between Tadoro and your employer and not by these Terms. These Terms apply accordingly to the private use of your personal family plan; your mandatory consumer rights for that private use – in particular the rights regarding defects and updates for digital products under §§ 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB) – remain unaffected towards Tadoro, regardless of the fact that remuneration is paid by your employer and you yourself do not conclude a paid consumer contract. The data-protection role split in this case (Employer Layer on behalf of the employer vs. Family Workspace under Tadoro's own controllership) is described in the Privacy Policy (§ 1a and § 5a).
2. Service Description
Tadoro is a platform supporting the organisational coordination of family preparedness. The application helps establish an overview of existing preparedness documents, insurance, financial and property-related records, key contacts, storage locations, responsibilities, and outstanding preparation steps.
Tadoro is designed as a reference and organisation system. Tadoro is not a document, data, or password vault. The provisions on sensitive information, special categories of personal data, access credentials, financial data, health data, and other particularly confidential detail information are set out conclusively in § 3c.
3. No Advice, No Document Validation, No Authority Created
Tadoro does not provide legal, tax, financial, insurance, medical, or other professional advisory services. Content, checklists, emergency plans, hints, and AI-generated conversation guides serve exclusively general informational and organisational purposes.
Tadoro does not create, review, store, or validate legal documents. In particular, Tadoro does not assess whether wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, guardianship designations, banking authorisations, or any other documents are legally effective, complete, up-to-date, or suitable for your specific circumstances.
Entries, roles, responsibilities, or designated successors within Tadoro do not create any power of attorney, statutory representative authority, status as heir, or authority to dispose of accounts, assets, documents, or medical decisions.
For the creation or review of legally relevant documents, please consult appropriate professionals – in particular lawyers, notaries, doctors, tax advisors, insurance advisors, or competent public bodies.
3a. Data about Family Members and Other Persons
If you record data about family members or other persons in Tadoro, you may only enter information that you are lawfully permitted to use in the context of your family preparedness coordination. This may be the case, in particular, where the person has consented, you are legally authorised to represent them, or there is a legitimate reason for the joint preparedness coordination.
Please inform affected persons appropriately that you are recording organisational preparedness information in Tadoro, where possible and reasonable. This applies in particular where you enter names, roles, contact information, family relationships, references to powers of attorney, medical preparedness documents, or other sensitive circumstances.
By entering data about other persons, you warrant that you are authorised to enter such data within a reasonable scope and that you have informed the affected persons about the processing in Tadoro, to the extent possible and reasonable.
Tadoro recommends entering sensitive information about third parties – in particular health-related keywords such as allergies, blood type, or notes on chronic conditions – only where the affected person has expressly consented to the entry or maintains the information themselves. When entering sensitive fields, the application additionally surfaces this recommendation.
Tadoro provides the technical platform. The data-protection classification may vary depending on the usage context. Further details on the processing of personal data by Tadoro are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Where data about third parties concerns sensitive information, special categories of personal data, access credentials, financial data, health data, or other particularly confidential detail information, the provisions of § 3c apply.
3b. Responsibility for Data about Third Parties
If you culpably enter data about other persons without the required authorisation, or culpably disregard the recommendations on sensitive data set out in § 3a, and Tadoro is therefore validly held liable by a data subject, a supervisory authority, or another third party, you shall bear the resulting costs to a reasonable extent, including the reasonable costs of a necessary legal defence.
This responsibility does not apply to the extent that you are not responsible for the claim. Where Tadoro is itself in breach of an obligation or contributorily at fault, your responsibility is reduced accordingly. It does not extend to Tadoro's own data-protection obligations as controller.
Tadoro will inform you without undue delay about asserted claims, give you an opportunity to comment, and, to the extent possible and reasonable, will not acknowledge or settle any claims without your consent. Both sides keep any loss as low as possible.
3c. Sensitive Information and Special Categories of Personal Data
Tadoro is designed as a reference and organisation system. Users should in particular document where important records or information are kept and who is responsible in case of need. Tadoro is not intended to store passwords, full account data, complete medical records, diagnoses, specific health values, medication dosages, or comparable confidential detail information.
You may only enter such information where Tadoro expressly provides a dedicated input field or a separately marked process for it. As long as no such process is provided, in particular for health, preparedness, and emergency topics, only references, responsibilities, and storage locations should be entered, but not the confidential content itself.
Tadoro may, in accordance with these Terms, block, remove, or require the removal of entries that violate these requirements or create a significant security, data-protection, or misuse risk.
4. Liability
Tadoro is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health.
For slight negligence with respect to material contractual obligations, Tadoro is liable only for foreseeable, contract-typical damages. Material contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance users may regularly rely.
Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The foregoing limitations of liability also apply for the benefit of Tadoro's legal representatives, employees, and vicarious agents. Liability under the German Product Liability Act and arising from any guarantee or warranty of quality assumed remains unaffected.
Tadoro is not liable for the legal effectiveness, completeness, currency, or findability of documents outside the platform. Nor is Tadoro liable for decisions made by users or third parties based on general information, checklists, or AI-generated content, except where mandatory legal liability applies.
5. Data Protection and Security
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the GDPR.
The provisions on sensitive information, special categories of personal data, access credentials, financial data, health data, and other particularly confidential detail information are set out conclusively in § 3c. The application records structured organisational information – in particular whether a document or piece of information exists, where it is kept, and who is responsible or contactable.
Details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
6. User Account, Trial Period, and Paid Access
Registration requires a valid email address. Tadoro can initially be tried free for 14 days. During the free trial period, no payment is taken and no automatic paid extension occurs unless you actively book paid access.
Paid full access is available in two options, which you select before concluding the contract: (a) Yearly access at a price of €49 per year. Yearly access auto-renews by one further year at €49 per year unless you cancel before the end of the respective contract year. Cancellation can be made at any time, effective at the end of the current contract year, via account settings or the Stripe customer portal. (b) One-time access at a price of €299 as a single payment. One-time access does not renew, does not expire, and is not charged automatically; no cancellation is required. Both options include the same full feature set.
After the free trial ends, the plan you created remains available for viewing. Changes to entries, new exports, and certain convenience features are only available again once paid access is booked.
Fees already paid are refunded only in accordance with the statutory right of withdrawal (§ 8), the voluntary money-back guarantee (§ 9), or mandatory legal rights.
6a. Availability and Maintenance
Tadoro provides the digital service with industry-standard care. No particular uninterrupted availability is promised.
Short-term limitations may arise in particular from maintenance, security measures, disruptions of telecommunications networks, third-party outages, or force majeure.
This provision describes only the agreed service standard and does not limit your statutory rights for digital products, in particular price reduction, supplementary performance, termination, or damages under mandatory law.
7. Free Trial
The free trial period begins upon registration and ends automatically after 14 days, unless you previously book paid access. No payment instrument is charged during the trial.
8. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Consumers are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are set out in the following withdrawal instructions.
Note on immediate use: for your convenience, we activate full access immediately after purchase so that you can use Tadoro right away. We do not ask you to consent to the early lapse of the right of withdrawal under § 356(5) German Civil Code. Your 14-day right of withdrawal therefore remains in full, even if you already use Tadoro during this period. In the event of withdrawal, we refund the amount paid in full; we do not charge any compensation for use during the withdrawal period.
Withdrawal Instructions
Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of conclusion of the contract.

by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.
Consequences of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your withdrawal. For this reimbursement, we shall use the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
Model Withdrawal Form
If you wish to withdraw from the contract, please complete and return this form.
To: Felix Hansen Eichendorffstr. 4 50858 Köln Germany Email: hilfe@tadoro.com I/we (*) hereby give notice that I/we (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following service: Tadoro – paid full access Ordered on: Name of consumer(s): Address of consumer(s): Email address of the Tadoro account: Date: Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper): (*) Delete as appropriate.
9. Voluntary Money-Back Guarantee
In addition to your statutory rights, Tadoro offers a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If, within 14 days of purchase, you find that Tadoro does not fit your family situation, you can request a full refund – directly in your settings or by email to hilfe@tadoro.com.
This voluntary guarantee does not limit your statutory rights of withdrawal, warranty, or consumer rights. Refunds are typically initiated within 5 business days to your original payment method.
After the 14-day window, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.
10. Account Deletion, Grace Period, and Offboarding
You can delete your account via Settings. Personal data and preparedness-plan data are then deleted from the active system, unless statutory retention obligations, security interests, or other legitimate grounds apply. Further details are set out additionally in the Privacy Policy.
When a trial period, a subscription, or employer-funded access ends, access may transition into a limited grace-period mode for 180 days. During this time you can export, reactivate, or continue privately. New entries and convenience features may be restricted during the grace-period mode.
30 days before the grace period ends, Tadoro may send a reminder email with an export note. After it ends, preparedness-plan data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Cancelling paid access and deleting the user account are separate processes. If you only cancel your subscription, your account continues to exist in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you delete your account, this may permanently end access to the family workspace.
11. Successor Designation and Emergency Access
You may designate a successor (Vertrauensperson) in your settings who, in an emergency, can be granted access to organisational account information. This designation is a technical and organisational pre-setting within Tadoro. It does not create a power of attorney, statutory representative authority, status as heir, or authority vis-à-vis banks, doctors, authorities, insurers, or other third parties.
Activation is handled manually and only upon submission of appropriate evidence. Details and reservations are set out in the Privacy Policy (§ 8a).
12. AI-Generated Content
Tadoro uses AI technology (Claude by Anthropic) for analyzing family situations during onboarding and for creating conversation guides. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific situation, and does not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and acting on such content.
When using free-text fields and AI functions, the provisions of § 3c on sensitive information, special categories of personal data, access credentials, financial data, health data, and other particularly confidential detail information must be observed.
Where technically offered, you may also use Tadoro without AI-assisted free-text analysis. Further details on data processing are set out in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms of Service where there is a legitimate reason – in particular changes to the legal framework, technical configuration, security requirements, or scope of services. We will notify you of material changes by email in good time. Where express consent is required for a change, we will obtain it separately.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Cologne, Germany, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected.
In case of discrepancies or questions of interpretation, the German version shall prevail. The English version is provided for convenience only.
